· Paint and Final Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
· Application Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives Measuring and Process Systems: balancing and cleaning systems as well as testing and filling technology.

Title: Sr Buyer
Your Tasks
General:
Based at our Head Office in Queretaro with occasional travel to our other US sites and supplier facilities; the candidate will be primarily responsible for the planning, purchasing materials, supplies and/or equipment for manufacturing and or projects. Their duties will include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching new sources and contribute to the cost effectiveness of the business in general.
Particular:
- Generation of the project "Boilerplate" documents which include Owner Specifications, Owner T&Cs, Dürr T&Cs, Site Specific Requirements, Compatibility Information etc.
- Coordinate, chair, and document Bid Package review meetings.
- Assemble Bid Package documentation, create price sheets, installation schedules, and distribute to bidders.
- Cost comparison sheets, analysis of commercial/technical information – mostly mechanical, structural, sheet metal commodities.
- Follow-up bid packs and integrate information from engineering, operations (installation) and project management.
- Provide answers to all bidders for any questions that occur during the bid cycle.
- Coordinate and document clarification meetings with potential subcontractors.
- Reports to global sourcing committee – provide analysis of offers recommendation for placement, pros-cons and results of bidding process (PO value vs budget).
- Lead bid packs from RFQ to PO placement and during execution.
- Negotiate with subcontractors (fabrication and installation), primarily sheet metal, structural steel, mechanical and electrical installation, rental equipment.
- Document Pre-Award requirements, obtain approvals, and create the Purchase Order in SAP
- Attend and support project meetings.
- Willing to go to job site as required.
- Collaborate with Supplier development: pre-qualification of eligible suppliers (technical, legal and commercial approach); evaluation of suppliers, lessons learned, among others.
Your Skills
- The candidate must have bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, International Trade or Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in equipment installation/construction environment.
- Able to read engineering drawings - plan layout and sectional drawings.
- Good organization and time management skills
- Strong Negotiation skills are required.
- Experience with ERP (SAP desirable).
- English fluent - capable to understand and communicate in a business and technical environment.
- Sense of urgency – proactiveness.
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with the suppliers at all levels and build productive working relationships with all internal/external customers.
- The candidate must be self-motivated and can prioritize and plan workloads and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction installation requirements for both automotive and non-automotive industry.
- The candidate must have a flexible approach and be able to work within a team.

Principales responsabilidades:
· Gestionar la compra de un servicio integrado: instalación mecánica, instalación de robots (mecánica, eléctrica)
· Coordinar fabricaciones y subcontratos
· Administrar órdenes de compra de fabricaciones y subcontratos para construcción de naves de pintura en plantas armadoras automotrices.
Experiencia:
· 3-5 años en equipo de instalación o construcción. Comprador de proyectos, cualquier disciplina. Obra civil. Deseable experiencia en industria automotriz.
· Análisis de precios unitarios. Programas de obra. Scheduling, PM, Calendario, secuencias de instalación. Conocimiento básico de Ingeniería y dibujos. Análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo. Comodities, infraestructura. Conocimiento fabricación lámina y eléctrico.
Requisitos:
· Escolaridad: Administración, Comercio Internacional. Ingeniería
· Excel intermedio-avanzado. Manejo de base de datos, tablas dinámicas
· SAP
· Inglés intermedio/avanzado
Habilidades y competencias:
· Organización, negociación, capacidad de análisis, trabajo en equipo, conocimiento técnico (lectura de planos).
