The Sales Manager is responsible for business development for small to medium-sized customers, focusing on establishing new business relationships and expanding the customer portfolio. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and executing prospecting plans to successfully onboard new clients. Additionally, the Sales Manager will lead the sales cycle, coordinating information, activities, and internal resources. Acting as a business consultant, they will establish credibility with potential clients by understanding their needs and presenting solutions that create economic and operational value.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and qualify business opportunities through strategic prospecting planning.
Follow up on leads within 48 hours, whether generated by the lead generation team or self-identified.
Conduct weekly face-to-face sales calls with customers and prospects to strengthen relationships and generate business opportunities.
Coordinate client solution development with the enterprise solution design team and business line owners.
Develop, draft, and present the company's value proposition to potential and existing customers.
Prepare and lead contract negotiations for new and existing customers.
Coordinate the implementation of solutions with the business implementation team and business line owners.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Align with company core values at all times.
Work on-site at a company facility as required (Polanco, CDMX)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in the truck transportation and/or logistics industry.
Minimum of 5 years in sales, business development, or commercial roles.
Ability to develop and execute client prospecting strategies.
Strong negotiation and business proposal presentation skills.
Experience coordinating business solutions across multidisciplinary teams.
Consultative sales approach with the ability to establish long-term client relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Advanced English proficiency required.
Valid driver's license and compliance with company's DMV record standards.
Availability to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
