The role

We seek a highly analytical and driven Data Analyst to unlock the power of consumer engagement data and empower our 40+ brands with actionable insights. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a cutting-edge data lake hosted on Databricks and shape the future of beauty through data-driven decision-making. You will also play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data, contributing to a robust and reliable data ecosystem.
As a Data Analyst, you will be the go-to expert for extracting meaningful insights from our consumer engagement data lake. You will leverage your SQL mastery and visualization skills to build compelling dashboards and reports that illuminate key trends and drivers of consumer behavior. You will conduct in-depth analyses, identifying impactful data patterns and providing actionable recommendations to enhance business decisions across various areas. Furthermore, you will champion data quality initiatives, ensuring our data remains accurate, consistent, and reliable. Your analyses will directly inform strategic decisions across our diverse portfolio of brands, impacting millions of beauty enthusiasts worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Deep dive into our rich consumer engagement data, uncovering hidden patterns and trends that drive business value. This involves exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis, and potentially qualitative analysis.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from our 40+ brands, and translate complex data analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to enhance business decisions.
- Design and build interactive dashboards in Power BI, effectively communicating key metrics, trends, and relationships across multiple data sources.
- Support activities to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve its overall quality.
- Conceptualize and develop new metrics and analytical approaches to measure consumer behavior across our B2C and B2B channels, as well as metrics for assessing data quality.
- Communicate your findings effectively through compelling narratives, ensuring that insights resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, program managers, and other analysts to ensure alignment and successful delivery of results.
Must haves
- Education: Bachelor's/University degree. A degree in an analytical field such as Mathematics,
- Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or relevant business equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in analytics and/or business intelligence, including experience with data quality initiatives and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries for data analysis and data quality assessment.
- Experience with Python for data analysis
- Proven experience with data visualization tools, Power BI, Tableau etc. and a knack for data storytelling.
- Ability to gather and clarify requirements into polished, insightful deliverables.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Nice to have
- Understanding of Machine Learning (ML) models and LLM
- Understanding of data warehousing, data model concepts and reporting layer design.
