We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to support the setup and efficient running of our new Queretaro, Mexico plant. This role will play a vital part in the planning, construction, commissioning, and operation phases, ensuring facility reliability, managing equipment, and driving energy-saving initiatives in collaboration with global teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale manufacturing facilities and a solid understanding of facility equipment maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project phases from design to qualification, working with global teams as an end user to ensure successful plant startup and operational readiness in Queretaro.
Oversee daily operations of facility systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, air compression, chillers, and dust collection, minimizing unplanned downtime.
Review supplier construction plans, manage on-site suppliers, and ensure quality and reliability in construction outcomes.
Maintain factory buildings, coordinating with the property landlord for required maintenance and improvements.
Develop and execute work plans with technical teams, evaluating implementation results and monitoring for long-term effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with local regulations for new facility setup, following the guidelines from global central functions.
Establish standardized workflows for facility operations to promote efficiency and consistency.
Define, manage, and monitor supplier and subcontractor contracts, ensuring quality and compliance.
Oversee facility projects, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure reliable performance of facility equipment.
Analyze monthly energy consumption data, preparing detailed reports on water, electricity, gas, and compressed air usage.
Lead energy conservation projects and cost-reduction initiatives in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Communicate key performance indicators, identify preventive and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Water Treatment, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Automation.
3+ years of experience in facility operations and maintenance, particularly in large-scale manufacturing environments.
Experience in setting up new facilities is preferred.
Strong familiarity with facility equipment operation, maintenance, and repair processes.
Hands-on experience in energy conservation projects and driving cost efficiency.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English. (All the interviews will be in the language)
Experience in a multicultural environment and ability to collaborate with global teams.
For at least 3 to 6 months the position will work home office.
