The Ecommerce Business Intelligence Analyst will support the product planning and execution processes to optimize the online product assortment and inventory management for our Ecom platforms. This role is key to ensuring that the e-commerce business has the right products available to meet customer demand and drive sales growth.
Key Metrics:
o Product availability and stock levels
o Assortment performance and sales growth
o Forecasting accuracy
o Contribution to product catalog improvements
o Supplier and vendor relationship management
o Inventory turnover rates
Reports to: Ecommerce Business Intelligence Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of product strategies for the e-commerce platform, ensuring alignment with business goals. Coordinate with product managers and other teams to plan product launches, promotional strategies, and seasonal assortments.
2. Operational Management: Track and maintain product inventory levels to ensure the availability of high-demand items. Monitor the performance of product categories and recommend adjustments based on customer demand. Work closely with the fulfillment team to ensure timely product deliveries and minimize stockouts.
3. Data & Performance Analysis: Analyze product performance data and provide insights on top-selling products, inventory trends, and category performance. Assist in creating sales forecasts and product projections based on historical data and market trends. Regularly report on key product performance metrics and suggest strategies to improve underperforming categories.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth product flow from planning to launch. Collaborate with the merchandising team to enhance the online product catalog, ensuring accurate and appealing product descriptions and images. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
5. Customer Experience: Assist in identifying customer preferences and trends to improve product assortment and offer tailored product recommendations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
o Familiarity with product management tools and systems
o High experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Marketing Skills:
o Basic knowledge of digital marketing strategies
o Understanding of product positioning and merchandising for online sales
o Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior
Analytics:
o Ability to analyze product data and derive actionable insights
o Experience with basic web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
o Strong organizational and reporting skills
Experience
- 1-2 years in retail or ecommerce product planning, forecasting and reporting.
