?Sr Materials Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for purchasing discrete, value-added, and manufactured components for our operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in running MRP and other reports to generate purchase orders, as well as coordinating shipments to and from local and overseas vendors, with a strong emphasis on Asian suppliers.

Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure the achievement of company metrics and operational efficiency.

Essential Job Functions:

• Run MRP and support supply-side replenishment activities to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders within the ERP system.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials from vendors, with a particular focus on Asian suppliers.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee shipments from vendors to MTI facilities, including urgent and expedited orders.
• Coordinate shipments to and from Outside Process vendors when necessary.
• Act as the primary liaison between Account Managers and management for new launch programs and end-of-production activities.

Job Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of foreign trade regulations, logistics, and customs compliance.
• Proven experience in managing and following up with Asian suppliers.
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
