The role

Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the IPF Digital business in Mexico. This includes based accounting, control, reporting, purchasing, invoices, taxes, payments, and related analysis within the Country.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented finance professional looking to progress and develop their career within a growing business. You will be supported each step of the way as you will be working alongside other Finance professionals.

The responsibilities

- Take accountability for the purchase invoice process, from approval to payment and finally to record keeping and proper filing, ensuring reconciliations are properly made by business owners and aligned with purchase order process.

- Control and record of monthly expenses based on the expense verification template, paid with petty cash and corporate credit card.

- Support on corporate credit card issues and monitoring the reception of monthly statements.

- Ensure that the business complies with relevant local and IPF Digital accounting, reporting, tax and financial control requirements.

- Review and validate recompilation, verification and review of CFDIs and “complemento de pago” are issued and received correctly and on a timely manner.

- Supervise and execute cost accounting, invoice handling and payment issuing.

- Monitoring monthly results and cost control according to Budget.

- Perform and supervise reconciliation of bank accounts and business systems.

- Prepare Navision or accounting system in place for income statement and balance sheet monthly.

- Take responsibility for the regular reporting of financial performance in accordance with accounting policies and timetables in an accurate and timely manner.

- Ensure that the monthly timetable of reporting deadlines to IPF Group Finance are met and managed in a pro-active way.

- Responsible for ensuring that tax compliance of the Mexican business is managed effectively, working under guidance from Controller and Tax advisors.

- Prepare and supervise the monthly income invoice.

- Support in the preparation of Company Annual Accounts and Tax Returns for Mexico.

- Support in the elaboration and integration of local Budget and Rolling Forecast.

- Work on specific finance projects as required and directed, providing business financial planning and analysis support.

- Control of fixed assets, additions and deletions in the system.

- Work together with Commercial Finance to ensure that accounting records and reports are duly booked and supported to generate ad hoc reports for the business.

- Support Financial Controller / manager on all the expenses from different business areas are properly supported and within budget.

- Elaboration and cancellation of invoices in the system and before the SAT

Skills

- Strong analytical skills.

- Happy to roll your sleeves up, pragmatic and focused.

- Fluency in written and business English language (essential).

- Solid communicator.

- Good problem solver.

- Working under pressure.

- You are results orientated.

- You are highly organised, methodical, and meticulous.

- Advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge & Experience

- Financial control and reporting (IFRS).

- Knowledge of maintaining all aspects of financial reporting and control discipline.

- How to present financial information in various forms to a mixture of users.

- Working knowledge of accounting systems or ERP's (Navision/ SAP/Oracle desired.

- Working knowledge of tax requirements Mexico.

- 5-7 years of working experience.

- Financial Services experience is ideal but not essential.

- Experience in Tax.

- Experience in SOFOM, would be an advantage.

- Banking (Desired.

Qualifications

- Educated to degree level.

- Chartered Accountant.
