As a Senior General Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the general ledger accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policy and accounting processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and legal, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager/supervisor to accomplish objectives.
- Effective communication, in English/Spanish and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives is a plus.
