General Accountant

About The Job

• Support success of the business through financial expertise, leadership, and strong execution of accounting processes and reporting.
• Responsible for statutory financial reporting and management of the statutory audits.
• Delivery of timely and accurate closure of the monthly accounting records, in accordance with Local GAAP (NIF's).
• Ensure monthly reports and financial statements.
• Implement controls including (but not limited to) store inventory counts, treasury and petty cash controls. Work with control owners on remediation or process improvement as appropriate.
• Routines for fixed asset bookings and depreciation calculations
• Prepare analyze and work with reconciliations.
• Review employees reimbursement.
• Establish monitoring routines for accounts receivables and payables (reconciliations, recalculations and working papers).
• Manage local treasury operations, upholding department controls.
• Prepare and update cash flow weekly.
• Ensure company payments.
• Relationship with local Banks.
• Calculate accordance with VAT, Corporate Tax & Withholding Tax rules; including support of monthly / annual filings, CFDI compliance and reconciliation, etc.
• Ensure the tax declaration, payments and VAT
• Annual tax declaration.
• Invoicing/Electronic Accounting Compliance.
• Ensure that adequate internal controls are maintained for asset protection and fraud prevention.
• Provide senior management with timely and accurate financial information for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting area (NIF's)
• Desirable experience in Accounting firms and in a multinational company in the trading industry and online business.
• Tax Update
• Accountable to other functions
• Understand and meets the legal obligations regarding national laws and regulation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong skills in Excel (Intermediate / advanced)
• Strong English skills (written and oral), interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with various levels of management.
• Knowledge in Contpaqi accounting software and different modules.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
