Production Manager – Plastic Injection Molding

Position Objective:

The Production Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operations related to the plastic injection molding process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and optimization of production processes. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, implementing continuous improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards.

Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Oversee and coordinate daily production activities in the plastic injection molding area.
• Plan and ensure the achievement of established production volumes.
• Ensure proper scheduling and workflow in production lines.

Process Optimization:

• Implement continuous improvements in plastic injection molding processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Evaluate and propose technological and machinery solutions to enhance productivity and quality.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that manufactured products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Supervise internal quality audits and apply necessary corrective actions.

Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve plant goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and ensure proper allocation of human resources.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of injection molding machines and equipment.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and materials required for the proper functioning of processes.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations, as well as company's internal policies.
• Conduct and supervise safety and good manufacturing practices training.

Reporting and KPI Control:

• Prepare and present production, performance, incidents, and improvement proposal reports to senior management.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for production and propose corrective actions when necessary.

Requirements:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Managements roles in the plastics industry.
• Advanced knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, machinery operation, and specialized tools are required
• Experience in leading production teams and project management.
• Knowledge of quality control, safety regulations, and production process optimization.
• Effective communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced English is a must
