Leading company in its field is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, logistics, materials management, and import/export activities. This role will ensure efficient material flow, optimal inventory control, and timely order fulfillment, while maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a strong background in supply chain management, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise traffic, receiving, storage, and shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate handling of materials.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including coordinating with international freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Oversee raw material procurement, inventory management, and cycle counting to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Lead shipping operations, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled according to deadlines and in compliance with international shipping documentation.
- Maintain control of raw material and finished product inventories, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules while minimizing waste and costs.
- Supervise material receipt, storage, and distribution to production cells, ensuring materials are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
- Implement and maintain inventory replenishment plans and monitor excess and obsolete materials to prevent unnecessary inventory costs.
- Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers, resolve logistics issues and manage expectations.
- Develop strategies for efficient transportation and warehouse management, minimizing logistics costs and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of material to production line.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety, environmental, and health regulations.
- Oversee adherence to safety standards and regulations in all warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Supervise the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse and logistics professionals, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor performance indicators for key areas such as receiving, storage, picking, packing, distribution, and fulfillment, proposing improvements where necessary.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse and logistics teams.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Ensure effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve logistics issues and ensure the timely delivery of materials and products.
- Provide updates to the management team on material flow, inventory status, and operational performance.
- Lead activities to comply with international trade regulations. IMMEX, Annex24.
- Ensure smooth customs clearance and compliance.
- Collaborate with international stakeholders to ensure proper shipping, invoicing and clearances process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, International Business Administration or engineer
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial position in warehouse and logistics management or materials management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, logistics operations, and import/export procedures in a large scale manufacturing sites and fast cycle time.
- Proficiency in EPICOR, SAP or similar ERP systems, wishable
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT, CTPAT Certifications, MUST.
- Strong import processes understanding, classification, customs clearance, sensitive materials.
- Valid Visa and Passport, with availability for travel as needed, MUST.
- Deep understanding of logistics, customs documentation, and environmental health & safety standards.
- Experience in managing materials and warehouse systems, including handling large inventories, managing transportation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably EPICOR).
