As we grow, we seek a highly analytical and proactive accountant who will not only manage financial transactions but also provide valuable insights that help to explain the monthly results.
Position Summary
We seek a Remote Accountant with 5-7 years of experience to handle journal entries, full bank reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end accounts reviews and reconciliations, among others. We are looking for someone who will go beyond traditional accounting functions to add value by analyzing financial data, build trends, and provide insights. This role will not cover cost accounting, as we have a dedicated cost accountant handling that function.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and must possess a solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations. Professional proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively with corporate leadership.
This role will also support Accounts Payable (AP) by handling inquiries from suppliers
regarding payment status and support ad hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting
•Journal Entries & Month-End Close
o Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
o Ensure proper accruals and adjustments for accurate financial reporting.
o Assist in variance analysis and reconciliations for financial statements.
• Bank Reconciliations & Cash Management
o Perform full bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between
cash transactions and accounting records across different modules:
? Accounts Receivable (AR)
? Accounts Payable (AP)
? Outstanding Checks
? Ending Balances
? Reconciling Items
o Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
o Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
o Investigate and correct any inconsistencies.
Accounts Payable (AP) Support
• Handle supplier inquiries related to payments, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
• Assist in AP reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances.
Financial Analysis
• Provide insights into financial performance through data analysis and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
Excel & Data Management
• Develop and maintain robust financial worksheets.
• Create and optimize pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and databases to improve reporting efficiency.
• Work with large datasets for trend analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a
manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong Excel skills (optimize pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and databases).
o Experience with ERP systems (Plex ERP experience is a plus).
• Professional English Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Work Environment: Fully remote but must be available during U.S. business hours when needed.
