Unified Communications (mICROSOFT) will be responsible for designing, diagnosing, supporting, and managing the advanced infrastructure of the collaboration services to ensure the stable operation of
the organization's IT assets, related services, and introducing new technology that enables our group companies to deliver on their vision. This includes configuring, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing UC service hardware, software, and communication links. This role will also support mobility services and work closely with an outsourced partner responsible for the day-to-day development and maintenance of the environment.
This position requires an individual who knows their way around an active and rapidly evolving environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position requires 5 to 10+ years of experience and expertise running both On-premise and in Microsoft's Office 365 Cloud solution.
- Subject Matter Expert for both UC and Messaging technologies integrated into the Client environment.
- Provides Level 4 Operational Support for all UC and Mobility solutions within the Client environment
- Work with other teams to coordinate projects, timelines and integration of systems.
- Provide recommendations regarding improvement and enhancements of the systems environment supporting UC and Messaging technologies.
- Test, where appropriate and possible, in a production simulated laboratory environment any new UC and Messaging technology before production implementation.
- Provide recommendations on optimizing the performance of the system's environment, including reconfiguration, maintenance, and/or upgrades.
- Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of working with Microsoft Teams or previous incarnations (i.e. Lync 2013 or Microsoft Skype for Business), and PBX technologies.
- Proven experience in Unified Communications Migrations for large global enterprises
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Enterprise Mobility Services, System Center Configuration Manager and Intune, and other technologies related to Workspace Productivity Services
- Proven ability to work on large-scale global deployments in multiple locations
- Strong understanding of networks and related WAN/LAN technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and Network communications.
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- High-level understanding of telephony carrier integration, complex dial plans, and Emergency Services integration.
- Strong understanding of SIP and global SIP deployments and ITIL.
- Experience and understanding of designing, deploying, or managing a Hosted Platform.
