The Finance Controller is responsible for financial operations, including managing accounting functions, ensuring tax compliance, and optimizing financial strategies. This role involves preparing accurate financial statements, overseeing tax filings, and developing tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. The manager will collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial performance, lead a team of accountants, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure a sound & timely monthly accounting closing process.
Manage all tax-related activities, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, VAT/GST, and other statutory filings.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting and tax functions.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and integrate accounting systems.
• Provide senior management with financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures
• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience
Excellent knowledge of accounting, compliance with tax obligations
Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
Master is a plus.
Advanced English.
