Procurement of materials and services supporting Global Petro-Chemical plant operations with appropriate balance of safety, quality/reliability, schedule and commercial considerations. Develop and maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships. Negotiate commercial agreements, coordinate sourcing events and execute purchase order (PO) packages.

Qualifications:

• College Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 to 5 years Procurement / Supply Management experience in a related field is preferred.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Experience using the Procurement functions in SAP, Oracle and/or equivalent systems.
• Good communication skills and basic math skills in order to effectively interact with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Desirable

• Experience purchasing or managing MRO commodities in a manufacturing / operations organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform Procurement duties including sourcing, contracting, PO, and supplier management.
• Procure materials and services required for plant operations, consistent with considerations of EHS, quality, reliability, and urgency of need.
• Expedite documentation and deliveries of orders to maintain on-time delivery requirements.
• Effectively use SAP/Oracle to create and maintain purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Effectively interact / communicate with manufacturing, engineering, project management, and suppliers regarding order status.
• Build, develop, and manage professional relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders yielding effective partnerships.
