About the Job

Responsible for coordinating with a cross-functional team for generating a consensus forecast of demand to support the Mexico and NA markets. The Demand Planner will develop, monitor, and maintain an accurate demand forecast to support efficient supply chain operations for the Mexico and NA market. The role requires a data-driven, cross-functional approach to meet sales and operational planning (S&OP) goals, align forecasts with business objectives, and enhance inventory management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required in Chemical engineering / Industrial engineering/Supply Chain Management or related subject.
• Upper intermediate English level (spoken and written)
• 5+ years in demand planning, supply planning, or operations.
• Background /Knowledge in Chemical Industry.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, Power BI, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of demand and supply chain planning principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to manage complex data sets and deliver actionable insights.
• Proactive and organized approach to managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Desirable:

• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS.
• Supply chain experience preferably from manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
• Experience with any ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities:

Demand and planning

• Create, update, and manage demand forecasts at various levels of aggregation for a 12-month rolling period.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, customer insights, and promotional activities to ensure forecast accuracy.
• Track forecast accuracy, understand variances, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to refine projections.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

• Facilitate monthly demand review meetings to communicate forecast updates and potential gaps to relevant stakeholders.
• Align demand forecast with supply chain capacity and manufacturing constraints.
• Actively participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) meetings to drive consensus on demand planning assumptions.

Performance Management & Reporting

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover and product availability.
• Perform “what-if” scenarios to address forecast changes and prepare reports that summarize forecast adjustments and recommendations.
• Analyze forecast GAPs and provide insight to driving factors

Data Management & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure demand planning data and master data accuracy to support effective forecasting and inventory planning.
• Identify improvement areas in demand planning processes, recommending tools or adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with IT to support demand planning system enhancements, integration, and analytics development.
