About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Industrial Engineer to join our team. As an Automotive Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes within the automotive industry. Responsibilities:
- Process Mapping: Documenting each step of the production process, including time taken for each task.
- Time Studies: Conducting time and motion studies to measure the time required to complete each task.
- Identifying Bottlenecks: Analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks and imbalances in the current production line.
- Workstation Design: Designing workstations to ensure tasks are evenly distributed and ergonomically efficient.
- Task Assignment: Assigning tasks to workstations based on time studies and skill requirements to balance the load.
- Cycle Time Calculation: Calculating the cycle time for each workstation to ensure it aligns with the desired production rate.
- Workstation Setup: Setting up and configuring workstations based on the optimized task allocation plan.
- Training: Training operators and workers on the new task assignments and workstation setups.
- Pilot Runs: Conducting pilot runs to test the new line configuration and make adjustments as necessary.
- Documentation: Creating detailed documentation of the line balancing process, including task assignments, workstation setups, and time studies.
- Reporting: Providing regular reports to management on the status of the production line, including any issues and improvement plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and material handling.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Experience in line balancing, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Ability to conduct time studies, work measurement analysis, and establish standard times.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Knowledge Team Center / Autocad
- Knowledge of material handling systems and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in implementing automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive manufacturing.
