Description:
Helpdesk Technician - Mexico
Activities:
Provide frontline technical support and assistance to resolve end-user productivity issues as they relate to IT-serviced computer operations.
Must have strong knowledge of desktop PC / laptop operation, excellent trouble-shooting abilities, and strong oral and written communication skills to assist employees with diagnoses and repairs.
Responsible for proper management of Helpdesk tickets including documentation of problem resolutions and maintenance of searchable solutions database within the Helpdesk.
Responsible for installation and configuration of computer hardware, software & peripherals.
This includes PCs, laptops, thin terminals, iPhone's, printers, scanners, faxes etc.
Also responsible for maintaining appropriate hardware/ software inventory.
Skills & Abilities
Operating Systems: Windows, Windows Server, Linux RedHat
Software: MS Office 2016/365 (incl. Visio & Project), Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Cisco Endpoint Security, etc.
Networking: TCP/IP, Active Directory, SSH/Telnet, FTP, Cabling
Other useful skills: ServiceDesk Plus, iPhone, MS SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Router\ Switch configuration\ troubleshooting
Previous Experience Required
1-3 years experience in PC hardware and software setup, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
