Automation Tester

Main Objective:

The Automation Tester is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of applications or systems. They work closely with development, product, and QA teams to identify critical testing areas, implement automation frameworks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development of Automated Tests:

• Create automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Design and maintain scalable and efficient automation frameworks.

2. Test Execution and Analysis:

• Execute automated tests to identify defects in different environments (QA, Staging, Production).
• Analyze results, report defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

3. Planning and Strategy:

• Assist in the creation of test plans, strategies, and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure that tests cover regression, integration, and critical functionality scenarios.

4. Maintenance and Continuous Improvement:

• Maintain existing automation scripts and frameworks, ensuring they are updated with software changes.
• Participate in the evaluation and integration of new tools and technologies to improve test coverage.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Document automated test cases, execution results, and key quality metrics.
• Generate regular reports for product and management teams.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Tools: Experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• API Testing: Experience using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Version Control: Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• CI/CD: Experience in continuous integration and deployment using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD.
