Descripción
- Generate leads and opportunities for new strategic accounts;
- Manage existing strategic accounts provided by the GM;
- Frequent client engagement, presentations and meetings (in person and virtually);
- Utilize Net Suite CRM as the primary tool for managing and tracking sales pipeline and project reporting;
- Prepare standard cost sheets and technical proposals, compiling information from multiple sources (e.g., estimates and assumptions, vendor pricing, etc.). All proposal reductions are approved by Management;
- Collaborate with Engineering Leads to:
- Estimate technical requirements (i.e., hours, equipment, assumptions, etc.)
- Review documentation in advance of proposal submission (i.e., evaluations, engineering studies, etc.);
- Engage vendor / channel partners to obtain pricing and lead time on components and subcontractors;
- Negotiate commercial matters (e.g. Terms and pricing) and project scheduling with clients;
- Participate in daily Resource Planning Calendar meetings;
- Create and manage project open issues and MS project timeline (when necessary);
- Manage internal/external project communication with clients;
- Regular communication related to project timing, open issues, engineering changes, etc., will be required;
- Engage clients to obtain and understand documentation that is relevant to project acceptance and buyoff;
- Update project folder with relevant project documentation (i.e. Product Drawings, Customer Specifications, Proposals, etc.);
- Initiate and coordinate the procurement process for materials and sub-contract requirements;
- Maintain and manage equipment tracking matrices and timing, as needed;
- Manage NetSuite Project Health Dashboard to assess overall health of active projects that are in assigned work stream, and steer corrective action communication as needed to GM / Engineering Leads;
- Execute project hand-off to Engineering prior to commencement of on-site work;
- Prepares and follows up travel request for engineers;
- Coordinate invoice process and approve submission;
- Follow up overdue invoices with customer and internal Finance/Administration Team;
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering;
· Self-starter with initiative and persistent;
· Team player and collaborative mindset;
- 1+ year of relevant experience in selling within the automation and/or controls industries is an asset
- Solution based sales is an asset;
· ~60% of travel regionally and throughout Mexico;
· Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and the ability to problem solve;
· Excellent communication and presentation skill;
· Exceptional track record of relationship building;
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
· Strong attention to detail;
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (CRM software proficiency is an asset);
- Valid Driver's License;
- Possess a reliable vehicle;
- Police clearance upon hire.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience and familiarity with machine vision is considered an asset
- Knowledge of PLC, electronics, robot programming and automation is considered an asset.
- Prior experience of using CRM software
Working Conditions
· The Company follows a work schedule that's tailored to meet its clients' manufacturing needs (i.e. 7:00am to 4:30pm in some cases); therefore, the position requires to work on the aforementioned business hours and may be required to do some work in the evenings and weekends or outside normal working hours;
· This role is required to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
· This role has substantial travel requirement outside Queretaro, MX, sometimes with little advance notice;
· Able to work on a computer for long periods of time;
· Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time;
· Required to visit factory floor in a variety of environments;
· Required to spend long hours concentrating which will require attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; and
· Required to meet several deadlines which may cause stress.
