Overall Role & Responsibility:
- Manage & process monthly payroll end to end for several countries varying in payroll complexity in a Local / Shared Service Blended Team Model across LTAM.
- Provide Support for Brazil payroll process as required.
- Partner with all key stakeholders to ensure the responsibilities and objectives of the payroll function are successfully met including Finance, HR, External payroll service provider and banking partners.
- Ensure the accurate, complete, and timely execution of payroll processing including coordinating and securing payroll data inputs, validating all related data and ensuring timely payment/credit to the bank accounts of employees.
Process:
- Responsible for payroll processing, of several LTAM countries varying in payroll complexity using third party payroll partner.
- Preparing and collecting all payroll data to send to payroll partner.
- Checking and approving calculated payroll received from payroll partner.
- Preparation of payroll checking, payment and sign off file for Payroll Manager.
- Maintaining payroll records.
- Responding to employee enquiries.
- Reconcile and maintain payroll balance sheet account.
- Statutory submissions and compliance and tax regulation.
- Benefit in kind tracking and taxation.
- Managing payroll disbursements.
Audit:
- Lead the month end close process and performance of internal & SOX controls in a timely manner.
- Manage audit compliance ensuring that both internal and external issues are addressed quickly.
People Responsibility:
- Actively and independently manage payroll partner, personal workload and escalate solution-orientated concerns.
- Achieve payroll deadlines and proactively monitor and raise instances where deadlines cannot be met in a timely manner.
- Function as a member of a team, demonstrating effective teamwork and relationship building.
- Participation regular training programs, stay current of local legislation.
Education
- Payroll, HR or accounting Technician qualified.
Qualifications
- MS-Office, ADP and T&A experience essential.
- Workday US payroll an advantage.
- 4-5 years multinational payroll experience.
- Experience working with a large payroll portfolio within a SSC environment.
- Primary language: Spanish
- Other languages: English: must be able to work though English. Portuguese an advantage.
