SUMMARY

Leads a team of approximately 80 production workers within assembly, welding, and fabrication operations. Leads the implementation of corrective actions to ensure proper, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale are consistent with production, regulatory, and the certifications required. Monitors volume and quality of output and adjusts tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met, and resources are used efficiently.

Leader and responsible of the Area KPIs of Safety, 5S, SDWT events, Ideas System, Visual Fabric, as well as leader and responsible of the planning execution and implementation of Problem-Solving Projects with A3 methodology, Cost reduction Projects, Green Projects, Kaizen and Jidoka Projects in its area. Responsible of monitoring systems and tools such as Line Balancing, AMEF, Autonomus Maintenance, Kan-Ban, Fixtures and Pock-Yokes, 3NO System.

DUTIES

1. Plans and managers department activities execution.
2. Provides a safe work environment generating and implementing Preventive Actions.
3. Responsible of maintaining above the target the productivity levels.
4. Provides training and development opportunities to employees while continuing self-development.
5. Communicates and develops interpersonal and cross-functional relationships.
6. Administers company policies, work rules, collective bargaining agreement, and procedures and addresses issues.

8. Daily exposure and explanation of the operational metrics of its area to the management team.
9. Responsible of the generation and Implementation of Improvement Ideas and Safety STOP.
10. Responsible of balancing the lines of production according to the demand.
11. Responsible of Hiring and terminating personnel as needed.
12. Responsible of the administration of absenteeism, delays and replenishment of personnel.
13. Maintains optimum productivity levels, and balance his manpower
14. Manages cost Reductions Projects and Scrap and Rework, for his departments.
15. Responsible for On Time Delivery and assure to deliver manufactured parts to his customers on time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1. (8 to 10) years experience in combined welding, assembly operations and/or CNC machining and sheet metal operations synchronized as a value stream operations line – heavy manufacturing.
2. (5) years of supervisory experience.
3. Knowledge of 5S, Jidoka, SMED, Poka-Yoke, One Piece Flow, Lean Principles and Mudas.
4. Knowledge on Methodologies for problem solving, A3, Ishikawua, 5W1H, DOE.
5. Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility, Control, Pneumatics, Instrumentation.
6. Experience with ISO, FDA, GMP, ASME. STPS/OSHA, or other similar regulatory or standards organizations.
7. Effective interpersonal and influence management skills to interact with cross-functional team members.
8. Thorough understanding of material management and quality systems.
9. Must be able to read and write in English.
10. Usage of Microsoft Office, Word, Excell, Powepoint, Outlook, MRP.
