Document #: MFG-CTI-JD-XXXX / REV A Release Date: Page 1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: Monterrey, Mexico Reports To: MX Plant Manager Position Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising shift fabrication technicians while also managing production planning activities. This hybrid role ensures smooth operations by aligning production schedules with workforce capabilities and material availability. The supervisor will drive efficiency, support employee development, and uphold company policies to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise shift fabrication technicians to execute production plans. • Develop employees through coaching and training to maximize skillsets, effectiveness, and career growth. • Preserve and build a positive company culture, serving as a model of professionalism and teamwork. • Enforce company policies, including attendance, safety, and housekeeping. • Conduct direct report assessments, disciplinary actions, staff meetings, and assist in hiring new team members. • Evaluate daily run efficiencies and contribute to cost evaluation initiatives. • Collaborate with other departments and shifts across the organization to ensure alignment of production goals. • Promote a continuous improvement culture by applying lean principles and efficiency training. • Develop and maintain a production schedule to optimize workflow and resource utilization. • Align priorities with inside sales, production, and procurement to meet customer requirements. • Coordinate material flow and ensure raw materials are available for scheduled production runs. • Engage with multiple departments, including engineering, sales, and procurement, to gather necessary information for effective planning. • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate data supporting production, purchasing, and planning decisions. • Interact with shipping, receiving, and material handling teams to ensure smooth inventory operations. • Identify and recommend improvements in scheduling, inventory management, and business processes based on historical job analysis. • Keep management informed of manufacturing challenges, capacity constraints, and fluctuations in labor and machine availability. Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in applicable field is preferred. At minimum, commensurate and proven supervisory work experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Document #: MFG-CTI-JD-XXXX / REV A Release Date: Page 2 • Strong organizational and communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish, and able to work independently and cross-functionally. • Possess strong supervisory, training, and leadership skills. • Computer literacy and experience with various enterprise-wide software applications. • Working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and ERP/MRP systems. • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. • A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data entry tools. • Aptitude for using handheld tools and understanding fabrication processes. Physical Requirements: • Ability to work on their feet for the entirety of a shift. • Standing, bending, walking, lifting, and carrying to fulfill production requirements. • Capability to lift material or tooling weighing up to 50 lbs. • Physical ability to push/cart material weighing up to 1,800 lbs. • Staying focused on the task at hand.
