Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Manager who is not only experienced in supply chain and inventory management but also passionate about exceptional customer service, team collaboration, and effective communication. This role will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Planning & Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement materials strategies aligned with company goals and customer needs using ERP system.
- Forecast material requirements based on production schedules, customer orders, and historical trends.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure production continuity without excess or shortage.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inventory audits and implement inventory control best practices.
Supplier & Logistics Coordination:
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely materials delivery.
- Negotiate and coordinate logistics and transportation strategies to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with all quality and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the materials management team to meet department and company objectives.
- Promote a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment that encourages open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams, including production, purchasing, and customer service.
Customer Service & Communication:
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and alignment across the supply chain.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction by proactively identifying and addressing materials or delivery challenges.
- Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate and present detailed reports on inventory levels, supplier metrics, procurement activities, and performance KPIs.
- Analyze data to drive decisions, improve efficiencies, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience working in companies under the IMMEX program.
- Solid knowledge of the processes, obligations and benefits related to the IMMEX program.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence, supplier relationship management, and team development.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills — both verbal and written.
- ERP experience required; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
