Who will you be working with?

Our objective as Supply Chain area, is to ensure an efficient continuity of our production processes through strong collaboration with suppliers and business partners who can

provide the best quality conditions, timely delivery, responsiveness to changes in demand and cost-effective solutions for Wabtec.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Global Services division in Mexico, you will be responsible for Coordinate the functions of Purchasing, Supplier Development, and Inventory Management, from the reception of the demand for customer needs through the purchase of the material and culminating with the delivery to the customer of the final product, adhering to the

company's policies and regulations of purchasing. Reporting to Plant Manager WGS Mexico.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in purchasing and materials area.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Inventory Systems management.
• High analytical capacity to interpret figures and make decisions.
• ERP System Knowledge (Oracle desirable).
• Advanced Excel.
• Wide knowledge on supply chain.
• Numerical skills.
• Self-confidence and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing concepts and production schedules preferred.
• Good time planning
• Persuasive.
• Focus on cost reduction.

What will your typical day look like?

• Manage and optimize the organization's inventory strategically, defining the budget, controlling the level, generating inventory turns.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive the warehouses and the flow of raw material to the production lines.
• Lead the material purchase and warehouse team, ensuring the supply of material according to production schedule.
• Responsible for the production schedule and transactional operations to meet the on-time delivery according to the customer needs.
• Coordinate the logistics for the movements, raw material and finished good from point to point.
• Ensure operational alignment with production plan to execute in compliance to the service goals (KPIs)
• Work with sourcing specialists and supplier commodity leaders to create a trust relationship with our suppliers to improve lead time, OTD% and material availability by reducing overdue and late Pos.
• Take ownership of and lead projects for plantwide materials process improvement in addition to your lineside responsibilities.

What about the physical demands of the job?

• The work is mainly performed in an office environment, but it is important to have continuous interaction with the production areas to ensure understanding of the operations requirements, for which basic safety equipment must be used.
• You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
• Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.
