Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, closing books, overseeing cost accounting and inventory, and preparing accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), has strong experience in manufacturing accounting, and excels in communication and collaboration across cross-border teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reconcile key accounts.
• Implement and maintain cost accounting processes to monitor production costs and support accurate inventory valuation.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records; support periodic cycle counts and audits.
• Collaborate with leadership teams in Mexico and California to align and streamline financial processes.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support operational decision-making.
• Strengthen financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (must).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
• Experience with financial closings, reporting, A/P, A/R, and payroll processing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and across teams.
