Looking for a focused, determined and competitive Collections representative, able to that thrive a quick collections cycle, satisfying our objectives and whose objective is to support Management from an operational, analytical and tactical standpoint, by handling stakeholder requests, solving team's questions, auditing and controlling different activities from colleagues on the operations floor, along with running reports, maintaining files and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Analyze aging reports and initiate calls to customers with past due balances to arrange for payment
• Initiate collection calls to major account customers, research and resolve past due/billing issues on accounts that have resulted in delinquent payment
• Resolve customer complaints and research account discrepancies; analyze receivables data for customers
• Forecast cash collections, evaluating and escalating issues to appropriate contacts
• Perform accounting reconciliations, reduce account aging, and establish clear and concise communications; participate in presentations of account receivables information
• Maintain call logs and expected payment dates
• Evaluate if credit or debits need to be issued and rationalize payment plans with customers.
• Daily interaction with customers, including follow-up when expected payment has not been received
• Assist in resolving billing issues
• Prepare metric and KPI analysis and explanations behind portfolio performance variations
• Responsible for answering prospective customer's questions and sending additional details required.
• Apply LEAN thinking within your team with a hunger to constantly improve.
• Meet and exceed sales goals and KPI metrics.
Minimum qualifications
• Advanced English level
• 2+ years of Collections experience
• Factoring and Trade Finance experience is a plus
• Receivables and credit management experience
• Risk management experience and financial background
• Problem-solving ability
• Account management and planning experience preferred, ability to gain senior client buy-in
• Proven experience with LEAN, Six Sigma methodologies
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated effective organization skills and attention to detail
