EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.

Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of plant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing maquiladora operations under IMMEX and shelter company
• agreements.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of Mexican labor law, health & safety regulations, manufacturing, quality, material handling, import and export, and customs procedures.
• Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities, including planning, production, material handling, quality, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, and EHS compliance.
• Lead a multicultural team of supervisors, engineers, and line workers; establish KPIs, promote accountability, and develop a continuous improvement culture.
• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of factory employees in partnership with the shelter company. Ensure that staffing aligns with production demands and that all personnel are properly trained in safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Ensure operations comply with IMMEX program rules, labor laws, and U.S./Mexico customs regulations.
• Coordinate with U.S.-based planning and supply chain teams to align material availability, production schedules, and finished goods shipments.
• Identify and implement lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce costs, improve yields, and increase labor and asset productivity.
• Ensure quality systems and customer-specific requirements are maintained; lead internal and external audits as required.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Plex).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.
• Experience with quality systems and core tools (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Prior experience in the automotive, electronics, or medical device industries.
