Descripción
Dynamic and creative expert in the field of sensory and consumer insights to support product development and innovation projects for Latin America. This position will be responsible for understanding and defining fundamental consumer and sensory requirements in specific and strategic projects and categories and mastering and implementing appropriate research proposals for optimal product development. He (she) will also generate related knowledge to anticipate to market and customers' needs and support the organization's growth plans, train and mentor his/her colleagues.
Recognized expertise in at least one area related to technical consumer research: statistics, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, or consumer research.
Proven track record of delivering consumer-focused results working with/through multi-disciplinary project teams.
Strong analytical and projective mindset with the ability to see the link between solutions and consumers.
Solid understanding of statistics related to sensory and consumer science
Roles & Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1. Understand and define the fundamental sensory/consumer requirements of
the strategic categories and inject the knowledge into product development.
2. Conduct Competitive Product and Benchmark Assessments to Understand the
Competitive Landscape
3. Support consumer-focused product development from creation to customer
delivery.
4. Develop, plan, and implement research proposals to gain valuable consumer
and sensory insights to provide technical solutions based on a deep
understanding of consumer needs and competitive offerings.
5. Provide recommendations on business solutions based on solid technical
consumer research and a deep understanding of the business environment.
6. Create experimental design, implement, collect data, analyze and translate
date to insights by using appropriate statistical techniques (including
parametric and non-parametric methods, prediction tools).
7. Orientation and training of colleagues on new methodologies and skills to m
continuously improve the competence of the team.
8. Cocreate, support, and co-design predictive models to support current and
future projects with regional and global scope.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in consumer psychology, knowledge of market research, consumers research, food or sensory science, behavioral psychology, or related fields.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in consumer research and sensory.
- Team player, proactive, enthusiastic, resourceful, creative and curious.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams at regional and global level.
- Able to lead, guide and coach team members and peers.
- People development skills.
- Strong project management skills: able to manage multiple projects in various categories and countries and set strategic priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to apply technical knowledge and establish credibility with highly technical audiences to build technical & commercial relationships that will benefit customers or the company and with non-technical audiences to influence decision makers.
- Conceptual, data-driven, solid analytical profile.
- Strategic skills, able to connect the dots, even out of his area of responsibility.
- Fluency in Spanish (Native)/English (C1)/Portuguese (A2)
