The Role

The mission of a Financial Business Analyst is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information. As well as analyzing financial data, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance, contributing significantly to the organization's financial stability and growth.

The responsabilities

Support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained.

• Conduct analysis of financial data and provide insights to management for strategic planning and decision-making.

• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare and maintain cost reports, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold.

• Conduct regular audits of inventory transactions and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls (COGI, Scrap control, overhead variances).

• Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance team members and department leaders, to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specifically with Mexican Tax Authorities.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing guidance and support to department managers as needed and guide them thru the processes.

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions working together with our Shared Services Centers.

• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by management. ?

The skills/Background

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 1 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and general accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Highly ethical and discreet, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information. ?
