Senior Indirect Buyer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Regional Buyer, where you will have a great opportunity to work for a rapidly expanding company. You will play a key role in sourcing the Indirect, MRO, Services and Capex categories. The Senior Regional Buyer will also oversee all administrative aspects related to the purchasing department, creating and expediting purchase orders, maintaining the AVL (Approved Vendor List).

Essential Functions:

• Purchasing tasks from receipt of purchase requisition, understanding requirements and developing best purchase action, sourcing strategy through placement and acknowledgement of a purchase order.
• Solicit, review and compare quotes to help support overall commodity strategies.
• Solicit quotes and negotiate indirect materials and services under assigned commodities in accordance with indirect sourcing processes/procedures.
• Design negotiation strategies and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
• Review and monitor supplier contracts and SLAs
• Identify opportunities in assigned commodities (products and services)
• Establish effective relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. technical functions, production maintenance) in order to ensure early involvement and effective coordination of projects.
• Analyze and monitor market trends and recommend alternative suppliers where appropriate/perform benchmarking.
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on-time delivery and overall quality.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered in accordance with our MRP requirements.
• Assist in maintaining the company's AVL (approved supplier list), ensuring that certificates, compliance data and supplier information is updated according to departmental procedures.
• Ensure corporate compliance with purchasing and quality department procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance according to department KPIs.
• Communicate regularly and manage the supply base to avoid and resolve any delivery, quality or pricing issues.
• Assist in resolving any queries on month end invoices, purchase ledger or booking queries.
• Support the company in any other ad hoc tasks and projects that arise.
• Monitor and advise on any issues that pose a risk or opportunity for the organization.
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply issues that may affect the company's operations.

Requirements:

• Procurement experience (automotive)
• 5 years minimum professional experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Contract Management or equivalent position.
• Completed Bachelor's degree
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft packages including Outlook for email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MRP systems.
• Conversational English
• Visa and valid passport.
