Education and experience
? University degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration or related field
? CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is preferred
? Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and controlling roles, with at least 5 years in leadership role
? Experience within the manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred.
Key Responsabilities
? Responsible for effective liaising with the local Controlling teams
? First point of contact for assigned operational Controlling CoE hub staff
? Lead and manage the Controlling teams in the CoE, ensuring high performance, development and team cohesion
? Coordinate all country / cluster Controlling processes in scope for CoE
? Serve as an escalation contact for Controlling related issues
? Oversee the Controlling processes in scope for CoE, ensuring timely and accurate processing & reporting
? Closely collaborate with the Reporting & Analytics team to standardize Controlling report templates
? Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to assess the effectiveness of Controlling processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
? Assess standardization, optimization and automation potential from Legal Entities / country specifics based on market best practices and/or best in class Legal Entities
? Drive continuous improvement initiatives jointly with the Global Process Owners (GPOs) to enhance Controlling processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs
? Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
? Interview and hire CoE Controlling staff as needed with strong emphasis on recruiting the best qualified candidates with strong experience in driving improvements in the area of Controlling
? Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders
? Ensure all financial reporting and processes comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sulzer's Controlling handbook and other Sulzer directives
? Liaise with auditors and ensure the completion of audits with minimal adjustments
? Ensure internal controls are in place and followed for the Controlling processes in scope for CoE
? Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (where required) are defined and followed in the CoE
Critical success factors
? Proficiency in coordination and planning of work for assigned Controlling teams
? Strong understanding of Controlling processes, as well as financial modelling and forecasting, data analytics, market analysis, pricing, profitability analysis, cost controlling, project portfolio management, revenue recognition & forecasting
? Experience in a Center of Excellence or Shared Services environment is a plus
? Strong communication skills for delivering key insights to senior leadership
? Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Technical & language skills
? Experience with Tagetik and Qlik Sense
? Understanding of integrated ERP systems
? Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills
? Proficiency in English
