Position: Accounting AP (Contador especializado en Cuentas por Pagar)

Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Hibrido 50/50

Details of the role:

The Accounting AP is responsible to verify the suppliers' invoices correct an ready to pay, fill the AP file an control payments, bank reconciliations, create purchase orders, apply payments creating journal movements for accounting, Also VAT control, and DIOT for tax purpose.

Enter journal for corporate credit cards in accounting system, VAT, and VAT withholding calculations, ensure the monthly closure reports (expenses report, cost licences, banks consolidations file)

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Record transactions in the general ledger
• Assist in the timely preparation of the monthly financial package
• Assist external auditors for the completion of the annual audit by gathering documents, validating account balances and explaining account activity
• Provide answers to accounting and financial questions through investigative and analytical methods
• Recommend changes to current accounting procedures for increased accuracy and efficiency, when appropriate
• Support the Accounting team with other related duties, as assigned
• Assist in the VAT calculation

Required Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred

· Minimum 3 years of experience with account reconciliation, journal entries and experience in AP

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Demonstrated financial analytical ability

· Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication

· Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

· Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information and data

Good to have skills:

· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse accounting data, identify discrepancies

· Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in accounting and fiscal transactions, data entry, and record-keeping.

· Compliance Knowledge: to ensure the monthly closure reports

· Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Proficiency in accounting Software (Contpaq), Excel for data analysis and reporting.

· Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
