Specific Knowledge: Accounting, tax, auditing, financial reporting standards, auditing standards, deferred taxes and procedures before government agencies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily, monthly and weekly reports are prepared accurately and on time.
• General ledger is appropriately maintained, reconciled and supported in accordance with GAAP, ITT and Sarbanes Oxley policies.
• Provide factory support to the operations manager. Interacts as an effective business partner to both operations managers and plant managers.
• Work with the business as a partner to drive improved performance (profitability, working capital, productivity, etc.) and investment evaluation and valuation.
• Streamline financial processes to improve processes and eliminate waste or eliminate the process if it does not add value.
• Learn and develop more effective methods to improve the reporting and analysis necessary to support the SFO's financial and operations organization.
• Support in the development of departmental policies and procedures and in general the formation of departmental teams.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and
CREDENTIALS OR CERTIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
2-5 years of accounting/finance experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with general ledger, SAP and PRMS ERP systems and other tools used by the organization to manage the business (i.e. Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, SQL) is required.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
English language proficiency : communicate effectively ( spoken and written ) 85 %.
