The role
The LAR Product Regulatory & Stewardship Analyst (LAR PSRA) is responsible for executing Eastman business strategy by enabling company's licenses, products registration, actives defense, new applications, importation and commercialization of Eastman products, in compliance with legislation in Mexico and other Latin America countries. To effectively accomplish this, the LAR PSRA must prioritize efforts which align with Eastman business strategies and with other areas support, as ex. with Sales, Trade compliance, Legal, Logistics, Technical, CSR, CTO, Quality control, Finance, Sites, Warehouses audits, etc). The role covers mainly Mexico, Chile, Peru and Colombia; if necessary, other LAR countries can be included; travelling of about 5% can be required.
Reporting to the Latin America Regulatory Manager, the LAR PSRA Analyst fulfills a key role in the commercial success of Eastman Crop Protection, Animal nutrition, Aviation, Care Chemicals, Amines, CI, Coatings & Inks, Specialty Plastics, Interlayers, Care, AFP Business Organization products in Latin America countries.
Main responsibilities
- Elaborate, complete, documents (with follow up) for federal and states registration, according with local regulations, for regulated and/or non-regulated products
- Elaborate, fulfill forms to comply with periodic reports requirements, to be submitted in due time, according to the legislation in force
- Participate in trade associations meetings, workshops to be updated on regulatory requirements, procedures and trends
- Contacts with Laboratories, Universities, Consultants, Warehouses, Regulatory agencies etc whenever necessary
- Cultivate a network of relationships across the value chain and within the organization leverage
- Use effective techniques to protect data, update documents at share point, ensuring data protection
- Effectively prioritize, track and implement regulatory applications, aligned with business and regulatory strategy
- Proactively develop and document appropriate information in share point, to keep data protection
- Organize original documents files, keeping data protection; raise necessary documents, to support an application
Background & qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university is required (ex. Science, Chemistry)
- Min. 3 years' experience in regulatory area (company, consultant, others)
- Fluent in Spanish and English

The position is based in Mexico; flexible working (3 days at the office, 2 days at home/week).
