Director of Bilingual Middle School
Position Purpose
The Director of Bilingual Secondary School is responsible for leading, managing, and supervising all academic and administrative areas of the institution, ensuring compliance with the standards and methodologies of the Cambridge and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. The primary objective is to promote a high-quality educational environment that fosters the comprehensive development of students in a bilingual context, preparing them for the challenges of a globalized world.
Duties and Responsibilities
Academic Leadership and Management:
- Direct the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum, ensuring the coherent integration of Cambridge.
- Foster pedagogical innovation and the application of active methodologies that enhance bilingual learning.
- Supervise the planning and execution of academic projects, extracurricular activities, and institutional events.
Personnel Management:
- Coordinate, motivate, and evaluate the performance of the teaching and administrative staff.
- Facilitate training programs and professional development focused on international methodologies and bilingual education.
- Promote a collaborative work environment and continuous improvement.
Institutional Administration and Organization:
- Manage strategic planning, the organization of schedules, and the efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee the preparation and monitoring of the budget, ensuring the optimal use of material and technological resources.
- Ensure compliance with institutional regulations and policies, as well as international standards.
Community Relations:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents, students, and the general community.
- Represent the institution at educational events, meetings with authorities, and academic forums at the local, national, and international levels.
- Encourage active participation of the educational community in school life.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement evaluation and quality control systems to measure the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
- Analyze results and design continuous improvement strategies to achieve the standards established by Cambridge and IB.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with international requirements and standards.
?Job Requirements
- Educational Background:
- University degree in Education, Educational Administration, or related fields.
- Preferably postgraduate studies or specializations in educational management, international curricula, or school leadership.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership or coordination roles in secondary education institutions.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing educational programs based on Cambridge and International Baccalaureate.
Languages:
- Advanced English (C1 or higher), both written and spoken, enabling effective communication and supervision of bilingual programs.
Technical Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of the Cambridge and IB curricula and methodologies.
- Skills in strategic planning, budget management, and resource administration.
- Proficiency in technological tools applied to education and school management.
Personal Competencies:
- Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate work teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, decision-making ability, and conflict resolution.
