Job Title: Tooling & Process Designer Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Product Design: Know design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings for new products.
• Development: Collaborate with the engineering and tool room team to develop prototype  tooling and conduct testing to validate designs.
• Analysis: Perform simulations and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including reports, manuals, and presentations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Corporate Engineering, manufacturing and toolroom teams to ensure product feasibility and market fit.
• Problem-Solving: Identify design-related issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to design processes and methodologies.

Daily tasks would include:

• Opening Part Files.
• Translating formats from customer native formats to .stp, .sldw, .IGES and .STEP
• Creating flat patterns.
• Nesting of parts on sheets for laser cutting density calculations.
• Creating strip layouts.
• Formability analysis.
• Animating assembly processes.
• Supporting plants with tooling and fixture designs.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks, AutoCAD and NX.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials.
• Ability to perform calculations and analyses relevant to design.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• English Advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
• Stamping Die Design experience will be considered an asset for this position
• 2-5 years of experience in design engineering or a related role.
• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, consumer products).
