Job Title: Tooling & Process Designer Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Product Design: Know design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings for new products.
Development: Collaborate with the engineering and tool room team to develop prototype tooling and conduct testing to validate designs.
Analysis: Perform simulations and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including reports, manuals, and presentations.
Collaboration: Work closely with Corporate Engineering, manufacturing and toolroom teams to ensure product feasibility and market fit.
Problem-Solving: Identify design-related issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to design processes and methodologies.
Daily tasks would include:
Opening Part Files.
Translating formats from customer native formats to .stp, .sldw, .IGES and .STEP
Creating flat patterns.
Nesting of parts on sheets for laser cutting density calculations.
Creating strip layouts.
Formability analysis.
Animating assembly processes.
Supporting plants with tooling and fixture designs.
Required Skills
Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks, AutoCAD and NX.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials.
Ability to perform calculations and analyses relevant to design.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
Stamping Die Design experience will be considered an asset for this position
2-5 years of experience in design engineering or a related role.
Experience in a specific industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, consumer products).
