At SOGEFI, the industrialization project leader plays a key role in product/process development and industrialization activities. He leverages his rigor and organizational skills to monitor the activities of one or several projects simultaneously. These activities range from project definition to the necessary support following its production launch.
Reporting to the North America Industrialization director, your main tasks will include:
· Managing industrialization and automated system improvement projects;
· Contributing to the optimization of existing manufacturing processes by implementing new technological solutions;
· Preparing specifications and design briefs;
· Consulting specialized suppliers and participating in design reviews;
· Producing technical documentation related to newly implemented systems (required components, operation, startup, debugging, preventive maintenance, etc.);
· Providing training and support to personnel involved during the commissioning of a new system;
· Supporting production by making corrections or modifications to existing equipment and/or work methods;
· Advising teams and acting as a resource person when required, and assisting project managers on the aforementioned topics;
· Troubleshooting more complex issues;
· Resolving project-related problems by proposing innovative solutions.
· With the current project leader, support the installation of two new assembly lines dedicated to the production of a highly automated water pump line. Take ownership of achieving the target Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and ensure the plant is fully prepared for production.
In their management, the project manager guarantees:
· Compliance with deadlines, budgets, and objectives in project management;
· Product conformity with client specifications;
· Adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Desired Profile
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Automated Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience;
· 3-5 years of project management or technical experience in a manufacturing environment;
· In-depth knowledge of special machine manufacturing, the use of various sensors, and ergonomics;
· Knowledge of robotics (Fanuc) and PLC programming (Omron, Allan Bradley) is an asset;
· Ability to read blueprints;
· Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office) as well as drawing design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD);
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
