Job Summary
As an Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing the Maintenance, Facilities and Quality team within a manufacturing organization. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing projects, guiding technical teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving innovation to achieve organizational goals
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Set clear objectives, evaluate performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop talent within the team through coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Able to identify Department grow path to support the Corporation Casting Strategy.
- Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in engineering disciplines relevant to the organization's products or services.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop new products and improve existing ones.
- Capable to design and/or solve problems in the following Engineering fields: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electronics, Mechanical and Electrical.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical), no Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in a transformation metal mechanical industry preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering roles with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead engineering teams, including project management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of Equipment and Facilities Maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of SPC, FEMA's.
- Six Sigma Experience.
- Experience in product development, innovation, and implementing engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
