Industry 4.0 Engineer
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Industry 4.0 Engineer to lead the digital transformation of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing smart manufacturing technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing. The I4.0 Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize digital solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Integration: Develop and implement I4.0 technologies, including IoT, smart sensors, and industrial automation.
- Process Automation: Design and integrate robotic and automated systems into manufacturing processes.
- Data Management: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from production systems to drive data-driven decisions.
- Predictive Maintenance: Implement predictive maintenance tools using AI and machine learning to reduce downtime.
- System Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize production processes through advanced technologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, operations, and production teams to integrate new technologies seamlessly.
- Project Management: Lead digital transformation projects from concept through implementation and evaluation.
- Cybersecurity: Ensure robust cybersecurity practices are implemented in digital manufacturing systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI, machine learning, automation).
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., RSLinxs, GCode, Karel ).
- Experience with industrial automation tools (e.g., PLCs, HMI's, 3D modeling).
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau).
- Experience with robotics and smart manufacturing solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management experience.
