The Senior Software Developer III works closely with the department leaders as well as business analysts to evaluate and influence system design while taking ownership of assigned development tasks and solutions. Additionally, this role includes providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as they build their skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Software Development:
Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions, using Java, Spring, Node. js, SQL Server, and Azure cloud products.
Follows best practices in coding, architecture, and overall software engineering.
Takes responsibility for delivering assigned development tasks and projects in collaboration with team members.

Architectural Collaboration:
Actively participates in architecture and system design discussions, providing input and working alongside a group of senior software developers in making decisions.
Supports and implements architectural choices, ensuring alignment with overall business requirements.
Collaborates with senior team members to ensure that technical choices align with the long-term vision of the systems.

Mentorship and Team Support:
Provides technical guidance to junior developers, sharing expertise and assisting with problem-solving.
Conducts code reviews and offers constructive feedback to maintain quality and encourage learning.
Contributes to a collaborative team environment, supporting junior members' professional growth.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Communicates effectively with business users and technical stakeholders, particularly in understanding and translating business requirements into technical implementations.
Supports project requirements gathering and specification, translating needs into actionable development tasks.
Works closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of solutions with business goals and technical standards.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer, with expertise in Java, Spring, Node. js, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services.
Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to drive or contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in distributed teams and remote work environments.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
Additional programming languages or frameworks are a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
