The Technology Solutions Specialist or End User Support Specialist - Is responsible for helping the company leverage technology to improve our business systems, software, and processes. The position requires strong technical aptitude of computer systems, training, implementation, best-practices, and technical problem solving. Maintaining operation of the corporate data center, corporate office, regional offices and warehouses and remote users. This includes new laptop builds and upgrades, break fix, peripheral support, keeping accurate asset inventory, assistance with server, network, phone systems and audio-visual equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that appropriate measures are taken to keep the Enterprise-wide Network available to users. Implement new network technologies to improve performance and provide newer tools to access company information. Carry out responsibilities, instructed by more senior staff within the Technology Solutions Department.
- Create and maintain documentation and perform technical training to assist end users and team members.
- Develop and assist in rollout of strategic corporate initiatives and system changes, which may include office moves, mass system upgrades, server inventory and lifecycle support, and special projects.
- Improves existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications; evaluating proposed changes; recommending changes; making modifications.
- Performs application deployment and system imaging leveraging System Center Configuration Management (SCCM).
- Supports endpoint vulnerability through security related applications (e.g., anti-virus, vulnerability scanning, & patch management
- Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting client devices, PCs, thin clients, printers, and other peripherals. Planning and Growth
- Maintain network and system documentation, including network diagrams, facility location diagrams, system specific installation procedures, and procedural documentation. Maintain documentation of all IT related equipment, inventory management and company assets.
- Attend annual training on relevant topics.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced English Speaking
- Education and/or Experience: An associate degree in a computer science or electronic technology, or three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Working both in a team and independently using discretion or independent judgment to solve issues or administer computer systems.
- Aptitude to work in a Windows environment, to work with your department's businessa pplications and with standard current computer applications. Understanding of various desktop operating systems such as Windows 7/8/10, OSx, iOS
- Experience in the support of O365 and related Microsoft office products.
- Knowledge and experience managing a SCCM environment.
- Specialized knowledge of warehousing equipment such as but not limited to mobile computers, scanners, industrial printing and thin clients.
