Lead and oversee our national quality programs and systems. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance strategies, programs, and policies that ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. The Quality Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain a culture of quality across all locations.
Functions:
Develop, implement, and oversee national quality programs to ensure consistency and compliance across all locations
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality programs, making recommendations for enhancements
Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet regulatory, customer, and business requirements
Oversee document control, audit management, and corrective action processes within the QMS
Direct supervision of national quality team, including quality assurance, and NPI, and coordinators
Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve quality tracking and reporting systems
Implement metrics and KPIs to measure and enhance quality performance across all operations
Build culture of quality among team and all functions and integrate quality into all business processes
Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports, and influence teams, processes, and outcomes in other functions
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning to address non-conformities
Lead resolution of escalated quality issues
Support supplier selection with required quality data and feasibility
Participate in quarterly business reviews with suppliers including review of quality metrics, quality performance and outstanding product quality complaints
Control of appropriate supplier quality assurance measures for all supplied goods and services
Oversee ISO 9001:2015 compliance and re-certification processes
Lead team to focus on risk identification, risk prevention and risk reduction of quality, initiate improvement actions and coordinate feedback from suppliers, manufacturing, testing and the field, consult with design engineers in following best practice design guidelines
Provide leadership and guidance to site-level quality teams, fostering collaboration and alignment with national initiatives
Develop and deliver quality trainings for all Quality team members and cross-functional team members as needed to ensure employees understand and adhere to quality standards
Lead and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring successful outcomes and implementing corrective actions where needed
Qualifications:
Excellent leadership and influence skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and situational adaptability skills
Strong technical and structured problem solving skills
Strong project management skills
Proficient in statistical applications and the development of statistical process control
Experience managing and adminstering ISO 9001 program
Fluent English - writing and speaking
High level computer skills (e.g. proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
Education:
· B.S. or above in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacutring, or related field
· Major or Speciality Area: Material Product Development, Engineering or related areas is preferred
Experience:
· 10 years of experience in a plant, manufacturing, automotive industry
· 5-7 years of experience with supplier development, continuos improvement, quality assurance, industrial engineering, production, 8D, 5s.
· 5+ years of experience in a leadership position preferred
· Certified Quality Engineer preferred
· Certified Six Sigma BB/MBB preferred
